Anastasiia Sosyniuk Delivers Two Lectures for Diia.Business Kryvyi Rih on Digital Culture and AI

This season I gave two lectures for the Diia.Business Entrepreneurship Support Center in Kryvyi Rih, as part of the national accelerator "Vidvazhna 3. Digital Evolution of Business." One was about the culture of change, the other about practical AI implementation. Different topics, but both conversations really come down to the same idea: digital transformation always starts with people — and only then with technology.

Lecture One: "Digital Transformation Starts with Culture, Not Tools"

This topic was the focus of the program's thirteenth training week. On December 24, we ran an online practical module called "Implementing Innovative Practices."

We talked about what usually stays "behind the scenes" of digital change — yet is exactly what determines whether it succeeds:

  • how to make decisions without unnecessary delays and bureaucracy;

  • how to spot barriers and resistance within a team early;

  • how to build systematic knowledge-sharing instead of one-off initiatives;

  • what role a leader plays in sustaining a culture of change, trust, and creativity.

For participants, this was a practical conversation about everyday management challenges, working with people, and creating an environment where change isn't scary but becomes a growth point. Because any automation or new tool is only 20% of success — the other 80% is how the team responds to change, how fast decisions get made, and whether the company has a culture where problems are discussed openly rather than swept under the rug.

On December 26, participants had the chance to speak with me directly during a mentoring session on "Building Values and Principles" — going deeper and more specific to each team's own needs.

Lecture Two: "Workshop on Implementing Smart Solutions"

The program's sixth training week was dedicated to a topic that's already changing the rules of the game in business — artificial intelligence. Participants got hands-on with AI's possibilities during the "Workshop on Implementing Smart Solutions."

The practical module covered:

  • how to choose a business area where AI can automate processes;

  • how to formulate the concept of a "smart module" so it solves a specific problem and creates real business value;

  • how to describe an AI use case so it's realistic and ready to test this very month.

Participants walked away with concrete ideas, tools, and a clear understanding of how to turn AI from a buzzword into an actual business asset.

Why These Two Topics Are Really One Story

Looking at both lectures together, the logic becomes clear: there's no point implementing AI — or any other technology — in a company that lacks a culture of change. Trust, fast decision-making, and a team willing to experiment have to come first. Only then does a specific "smart module" make sense — one that automates a real process and delivers a measurable result.

Thank you to Diia.Business | Kryvyi Rih for the invitation, and to all the participants for their energy, sharp questions, and readiness to transform their teams even under difficult conditions. We keep moving forward — step by step toward a mature digital culture in Ukrainian business.
